Every time they get their face in public due to good OR bad publicity and your promotional effort on the issue put their face there, you’ve harmed your own cause and my community but you don’t get it.
Did you ever consider that Indybay Santa Cruz is doing the clean team’s work for them even as they pull down my earlier post about TJ Magallanes’ veracity considering he himself is an ex-druggie who thinks that drug users are (paraphrased) ‘pitiful creatures who have the equivalent of cancer’ (
ie. Euthanasia would be a good solution).
IndyBay has become, along with Robert Norse’ Westboro Baptist Church-like HUFF crew, an endangering factor to the homeless but you’re all so fucking ignorant you’ll never ‘get it’.
By the way, I’ve saved boilerplate of this post. Remove it, and I just spread the word about your self-centric, opportunistic, agendas-driven callousness towards the homeless via other means.
I’ll probably do that anyway. Because you’re too fucked up as a so-called ‘community voice’, to survive.
As I stated previously, You’re a danger to MY community.
Thanks for fucking over the homeless of Santa Cruz. It took a LOT of effort, but you did it.
Part 2:A few things everyone seems to be overlooking.
The veracity of the video is absolutely unknown. We still have no inkling whether this was simply staged at an abandoned camp. The person who filmed it is a mystery man too, except that he writes for the SC Patch, a known TBSC agitprop media outlet.
For the commenter who said the guy in the sleeping bag is ‘chasing dragons’ or somesuch I’d propose you don’t know what you’re talking about… but it semantically matches TJ Magallanes’ ‘Pitiful and helpless. nothing one can do about this guy’ rap. Which is a classic piece of abnormal thinking considering it comes direct from a teenage druggie ‘scared straight’ and allegedly ‘cleaned up’ and ‘grown up’.
One thing I’ve learned from a conservatively estimated 30 years of living out among counterculture (discounting married time & my life previous to 14 years old) is:

The number of people is irrelevant. Probably containable with a group of people but nevertheless they ARE NOT just going to lay there. You’ve become that ‘dragon’ so to speak, and they’re gonna ‘SLAY’ you!
Think of the danger to anyone in the general public including copycats (
which is what *I* worry about) who might take the ‘stupid nodded junkie can be poked’ belief to heart, and the potential that someone actually pokes some nodded off junkie in a sleeping bag, finds himself with a knife stuck in him. He’s dead, and the media, who intrinsically back TBSC WILL have a FIELD DAY with it.

Listen. It’s all well and good to put the vid out in public, and TJ’s rather scripted performance-in-interview gives me a cynical giggle, but cheering it and the viral-ness of the video is NOT ‘all good’. The video AND
TJ Magallanes’ statements are both highly suspect to me and seem to play right into the hands of TBSC.
It’s called “Cooked Information, after the better known “Cooked Intelligence” used to convince Americans that war is necessary by using disinformational tactics such as single sourcing, which this video and interview seem to be. All originating from TBSC/Clean Team people, complete with footage filmed and TJ Magellanes interview done by a writer at the TBSC controlled “Santa Cruz Patch” online ‘news’)
The ‘LOL@’ in “Take Back the Clean Team“‘s recent post (“Analicia Cube (spokesperson for TBSC) saying this is not how Take Back Santa Cruz operates.”) is the “LOL” they’re having, along with a “ROTFLM MF AO” watching IndyBay further TBSC’s ability to distance itself from ‘the video’ in the MSM.
IndyBay CANNOT compete with that media coverage so it ends up becoming an ‘internet mic’ for TBSC’s plan to ‘distance itself’ from a video that may or may not be real, and in the process TJ Magallanes, the ostensible founder of the ‘Clean Team’ ‘falls on his sword’ so he can go about his business of contracting home repair to Santa Cruz residents without the bad PR glare of the ‘clean team’ affecting his ability to cultivate clientele in a town where not many conservatives have settled in and bought homes lately.
Conservatives who weren’t born and raised here don’t have much use for Santa Cruz and the liberal element that do re-locate here don’t have the ideology in place… the nepotic provincialism, of a ‘redneck local’, to see the worth or the ethics of homeless harassing and it could be a deal killer if they knew.
As far as the statement from the interviewer to the effect that “he’s (
Magallanes) fled to an out of state location due to (
unverified) threats”. Well, we all need a vacation.
All in all this whole operation is much more sophisticated PR than Brent Adam’s attempt at getting people to believe that cop abuse video that never actually shows the abuse.
The video and TJ’s derogation of the “Clean Team” was, in MY ESTIMATION, intended as a tool for Framing the new “Kinder Gentler” TBSC, and now they’re up and running and able to say “We Never Were Like That And We Are Saying It On KBSW With 100,00s Of Viewers” even as “Take Back the Clean Team” thinks this is somehow funny.
I’m not laughing… But I have a stake in the matter.
