What $160,000 dollars a year buys in contracts to ‘First Alarm’ for privatized patrols in Santa Cruz California city parks.
Can you IMAGINE how many jobs… jobs for Santa Cruz youths, could be subsidized with that amount of money? And that $160K figure is JUST FOR ONE PARK!
This is occurring against a background of a massive youth unemployment, drug, alcohol and homelessness problem in a city that’s ignorantly and simplemindedly written off the causation of all social problems in the city to ‘transients’, the ‘homeless’, and ‘gang problems’, instead of the city ‘government’s unwillingness to see to the well-being of ALL OF it’s citizens… as it pimps it’s job and housing market to the more lucrative “Flexible Labor” youth market (according to the city ‘Flexible Labor’ keeps their bond ratings high) overseen by the UC regents, which defacto controls those markets at the expense of Santa Cruz’ citizens.

You people just don’t get it. Tickets mean less than squat to most of us. The LACK OF JOBS AND HOUSING THAT CAN BE AFFORDED WITH THE JOBS IS WHY there are so many homeless in Santa Cruz.
Despite what the poverty pimps would have us think the number of certifiable fed check receivers as homeless around here is minimal compared to the number of people who would like to work.
They just don’t blabber nonsense like “beatings all over town” and other provocative shit to gain notoriety, so Robert isn’t interested in talking to them..
Further, just to cement my point that Robert IS AN ENEMY OF THE HOUSELESS, Robert picked a fight last night right where everyone hangs out with the TBSC Fascist with the cam who owns the Bike Dojo, which will SURELY come back on houseless people NOT Robert, at home.

Dr Andrei Poiarkov, of the Moscow Ecology and Evolution Institute, said: “These complexes were used by homeless dogs as shelters, so the dogs had to move together with their houses. Because the best scavenging for food is in the city centre, the dogs had to learn how to travel on the subway – to get to the centre in the morning, then back home in the evening, just like people.”
Dr Poiarkov told how the dogs like to play during their daily commute. He said: “They jump on the train seconds before the doors shut, risking their tails getting jammed. They do it for fun. And sometimes they fall asleep and get off at the wrong stop.”
The dogs have also amazingly learned to use traffic lights to cross the road safely, said Dr Poiarkov. And they use cunning tactics to obtain tasty morsels of shawarma, a kebab-like snack popular in Moscow.
With children the dogs “play cute” by putting their heads on youngsters’ knees and staring pleadingly into their eyes to win sympathy – and scraps.

«o» President Obama was at a campaign stop yesterday and engaged in a verbal altercation with governor Jan Brewer of Arizona. Apparently governor Brewer has just written a book called Scorpions For Breakfast where she recounted meeting Obama at the White House. She opined that the White House security team was rude for insisting she leave her cell phone with them and how she had to wait some extended period of time for her meeting with the president. At an airport meet-up Obama told her he had read her book and she was being unfair. She waggled her finger at him, captured by press photographers in an iconic image and told him that was her opinion and he could like it or lump it so to speak. Governor Brewer may be trying to distance herself from the Obama administration for political purposes. Arizona is not quite as liberal as Chicago you know?
«o» Last week the plan for a new millennial navy and concurrent reorganization with budget cuts were released to the public, and the army’s turn came yesterday. It looks like combat battalions will be reduced by about 60,000 people and the reorganization will be towards smaller tactical units
«o» Governor Jerry Brown of California is working on a way to resist the federally pressured bail out of mortgage bankers who wrote fraudulent paper, and may not allow the state to sign onto a deal being negotiated in a federal lawsuit.
